  1. everyone NEEDS to learn about this even. We need to learn so it does not happen again. 10,000 PEOPLE were died, as reported by a British cable released not to long ago. GOOGLE IT.

  2. they almost had democracy… the students just didn't have a good enough message, and the government hijacked their voice and played them down in the chinese press when they didn't get anywhere…

  3. From this much chaos to second biggest economy in the world. They must have done something right in last 20 years.

  4. Thanks for covering the events of this fateful night. Please also upload the events leading up to the tipping point and the use of force.

  5. This is a conservative mainstream US news service and it provides no evidence of a Chinese Government crackdown any more excessive than what happens in the US with it militarised cops.

At 1:34 I see one military vehicle, which is overturned and apparently set on fire.
At 1:45 we are told that soldier are clubbed by protester and killed. 23 soldiers were killed in total according to the Chinese Government.
Note that the protesters are armed with staffs. Where did they get them from?
Note that the people being carried out from 2:10 are not dead.

Where are the tens of thousands of bodies? If they were there the Anti-communist US news media would have filmed them.

The world is certainly a different place with China being the economic miracle of the last half century.

  6. it actually is sad seing the soldiers be friends and peacefully talk eachother and then having to attack eachother

  7. The students should’ve never started throwing rocks and especially not Molotov cocktails. They had a nearly entirely peaceful protest up until that point. That government was looking for a reason to shoot and they gave them the green light. Had they continued the more pacified route, China may very well be a very different political system. Not a full fledged democracy per say, but certainly something more reminiscent of a democracy than a communist regime. Nonetheless, the effort of these incredibly brave unsung heroes is now immortalized in the scriptures of history. There’s something cathartic about witnessing a political uprising within a genuinely oppressed society. There’s no act that requires greater courage.

  8. Both sides made dumb mistakes, as a protester you dont burn soldiers in apcs that were just there, as a soldier you dont shoot up everyone in your path.
