NEWSCENTER 5. ANTOINETTE: THANK YOU, AND WE WANT TO GET BACK TO THE BREAKIN NEWS. AARON HERNANDEZ HAS BEEN FOUND DEAD IN HIS JAI CELL. SHAWN HAS BEEN COVERING THIS FOR WEEK, THE DOUBLE MURDER TRIAL FOR WEEKS. RANDY: WHEN WE SAW HIM IN THE TRIAL WHEN THE VERDICT CAME DOWN, HE SHOWED SIGNS OF JOY IN TERMS OF HIM GETTING OFF ON THE MOST SERIOUS CHARGES.>>HE DID. HE BROKE DOWN IN TEARS AND WE ASSUMED THAT THOSE WERE TEARS OF JOY BECAUSE THIS WAS A SIX WEEK TRIAL. IT WAS VERY EMOTIONALLY INTENSE, NOT JUST FOR HIM BUT FOR EVERYBODY WHO WAS WITNESSING THE TRIAL. BUT THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE TRIAL HE WAS VERY EVEN KEELED. HIS EMOTIONS WERE TEMPERED. AT NO POINT DID WE SEE THAT HE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME. HE WOULD COME INTO COURT EVERY DAY WITH A SMILE ON H FACE. HE WOULD GREET HIS ATTORNEYS AND USUALLY GIVE THEM A BIG HANDSHAKE OR A HUG WITH A VERY LARGE SMILE, AND IF HE SAW SOMEBODY IN THE COURTROOM IN THE AUDIENCE, THAT WAS THERE FOR HIM, USUALLY, HIS FIANCEE, WOULD BE SITTING THERE, THEY WOULD ALWAYS LOCK EYES AND THEY WOULD ALWAYS GREET EACH OTHER WITH A, YOU KNOW, A SMILE AND A HELLO. IT WASN’T ANY SENSE THAT HE WAS STRUGGLING THROUGHOUT ANY OF THIS TRIAL, AND THEN TO BE ACQUITTED AT THE VERY END, OBVIOUSLY, THIS WAS A HUGE RELIEF FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY. HE WAS ALSO LOOKING FORWARD TO AN APPEAL IN THE ODIN LLOYD CASE, SO HE WAS ACQUITTED OF THESE DOUBLE MURDERS AND THINGS WERE PERHAPS LOOKING UP FOR HIM, HIS ATTORNEYS, HIS DEFENSE TEAM LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING ON THE APPEAL, AS WELL. ANTOINETTE: SO SHAWN, THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON INSIDE OF AARON HERNANDEZ’S HEAD, WE CAN ONLY BE OBSERVERS FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING AT WHAT WE SEE OF HIS EMOTIONS. TO YOU BEING THERE IN T COURTROOM, NO SIGNS OF THIS COMING AND EVEN IN ONE OF THE LAST DAYS ON THE TRIAL, HE ACTUALLY GOT TO SEE HIS DAUGHTER, HIS DAUGHTER WAS THERE IN THE COURTROOM, I BELIEVE THAT SHE IS FOUR YEARS OLD, AND ANY KIND OF INDICATION THAT MAYBE SHE HAD BROUGHT HER IN, THAT — I DON’T WANT TO SAY THAT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A GOODBYE BUT WAS THERE ANY INDICATION TO ANYONE?>>NO, NOT TO ANY OF THE OBSERVERS IN THAT COURTROOM HIS FIANCEE DID BRING THEIR DAUGHTER TO THE COURTROOM ON ONE OF THE FINAL DAYS OF THIS TRIAL. IT WAS INCREDIBLY EMOTIONAL SEEING THE DAUGHTER THERE, THE DAUGHTER HAD MENTIONED THAT, TO HER MOM THAT SHE WANTED TO SEE HER DAD. WE KNEW THAT THEY HAD GONE TO THE PRISON AND THAT THEY HAD FATHER AND DAUGHTER BUT THEN TO BE ACTUALLY IN THE COURTROOM IN A TYPE OF A SETTING, AND TO SEE HER DAD AND NOT BE ABLE TO GO AND NOT BE ABLE TO SAY HELLO TO HER FATHER, THAT WAS HEART-BREAKING, THAT THE CHILD YOU KNOW, WAS WANTING TO GO ACROSS THE COURTROOM BAR THERE, AND OBVIOUSLY COULDN’T. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO WATCH THAT. BUT AS FAR AS SEEING ANY OTHER EMOTION BEYOND THAT TYPE OF FATHER AND DAUGHTER BOND, IT WAS NO SENSE THAT HE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME, HE REALLY HELD UP WELL THROUGHOUT ALL OF THIS TRIAL. SO THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. RANDY: YOU MENTIONED THE APPEAL FOR HIS FIRST MURDER TRIAL. AND OBVIOUSLY, THAT IS BEING S ASIDE, HE IS — HE WAS FACING LIFE IN PRISON FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.>>THAT’S TRUE, HE WAS, AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU KNOW THE ACQUITTAL OF THE DOUBLE MURDERS OF SAFIRO FURTADO AND DANIEL DE ABREU WAS BITTER SWEET PERHAPS BECAUSE EVERY MORNING HE WOULD WAKE UP IN PRISON, BE CARTED BY CORRECTIONS OFFICIALS UP INTO THE SUPERIOR COURTHOUSE, AND THEN BACK AGAIN TO THE SOUZA BARANOWSKI PRISON EVERY DAY. AND THAT WOULD BE HIS LIFE. SO THE APPEALS PROCESS AGAIN ALSO DOWN THE ROAD, WE DON’T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THAT PROCESS, OBVIOUSLY, HIS DEFENSE TEAM WAS HOPEFUL THAT, YOU KNOW, THAT OBVIOUSLY HAVING HIM ACQUITTED ON THESE DOUBLE MURDERS, THAT THEY WOULD BE ON THE BALL AND BE ABLE TO PUSH THAT APPEALS PROCESS FORWARD, BUT NO INDICATION AS TO WHETHER HIS LIFE WOULD CHANGE, WHETHER HE WOULD LEAVE LIFE IN PRISON FOR THE ODIN LLO CASE. ANTOINETTE: SHAUN, THE ISSUE OF REMORSE, HE WAS ACQUITTED OF THIS DOUBLE MURDER IN BOSTON’S SOUTH END IN 2012. THAT WAS THE MOST RECENT TRIAL, BUT THEN HE ALSO, YOU ALSO HAVE THIS MAN A CONVICTED MURDERER, CONVICTED IN THE MURDER OF ODIN LLOYD, THAT ONE HAPPENED IN 2013. IS THERE ANY SIGN THAT POSSIBLY SEEING THE VICTIM’S FAMILIES IN THE COURTROOM EVERY DAY, DAY IN AND OUT, THE EMOTIONS ON THEIR FACES, WERE THERE MOMENTS WHEN THE VICTIM’S FAMILY LOCKED EYES WITH HERNANDEZ A ALL?>>YOU KNOW IF HE MADE ANY EYE CONTACT WITH THEM, AT NO POINT DID HE LET IT BE KNOWN TO ANYBODY ELSE IN THE AUDIENCE. THEY SAT THERE FRONT ROW, THE FIRST, IN FACT, TWO ROWS, THOSE VICTIMS’ FAMILIES, AND THEY WERE THERE DAY IN AND DAY OUT. THERE WAS NOT A DAY THAT THEY MISSED IN THAT COURTROOM. THEY WANTED TO SEE JUSTICE. THEY TRULY BELIEVED THAT AARON HERNANDEZ WAS THE PERSON WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER. NOT ANYBODY ELSE, DESPITE WHAT THE DEFENSE TEAM HAD SAID. THE DEFENSE TEAM HAD BLAMED IT ON ANOTHER PERSON, BUT THEY BELIEVED THAT AARON HERNANDEZ WAS THE TRIGGER MAN, THE PERSON WHO KILLED THEIR SON AND, THEIR TW SONS, THE QUESTION IS, THOUGH, WHETHER OR NOT AARON HERNANDEZ EVER WOULD FEEL ANY REMORSE. YOU WILL REMEMBER BACK IN THE ODIN LLOYD CASE AFTER HE WAS CONVICTED NOW HE’S — HE’S GOT IT WRONG TO THE JURY SO THE QUESTION AT THAT POINT, WE KNEW THAT HE FELT LIKE HE WAS

  1. He died an innocent man, acquitted anyway on the double murder! What an absolute waste of such a great man and talent I hope he can finally RIP. Whatever did happened will be made rite now and if he did kill those men he will suffer for eternity u just cannot fool the Almighty he sees and knows all! Just such a sad situation all around such a waste of such a promising life good looking young man now 4lives lost so senselessly may they all RIP! God bless!

  2. At The end of The day he was a criminal, a football star, a very good player but he was a criminal, he was a murderer an that has consecuences, suicide will never be an option…

  3. what about his demeanor after smoking K 2 ,he's a killer, forget the kid he did,,,awesome she will never know that freak

  4. Killing himself keeps his family safe with his Millions, the previous murder verdict automatically is overturned .. Just saying

  5. I don't watch football, so I didn't know him until they took him out of his home and charged him with the first murder. I must say that I an saddened that this young man (with the world in his hands) made a choice to take another individuals life knowing the consequences. I feel sorrow for everyone involved in this web of misery. 😩😧

  6. no love for this dude. i dnt think o boy took his own life i think dey had a hit on him. it was just a matter of time.

  7. Up until now I thought this dude was a machine. He didn't bat an eye the first time he received life-no emotion.

  8. You people believe your corrupt system. Look what happened to Sandra Bland. She wasn't a murderer but she was found the same way. Sheeple that's what you people are.

  9. Aaron is a coward who couldn't live up to the gangster Life he wanted so desperately to live. Death is what serial murderers deserve. if he cared about his daughter he wouldn't be out killing people because you are afraid they will expose you for a crime you committed.

  10. its simple man want to 0-100 to -100 once he found a loophole for his family to get money he smoked last duby and tough everything threw and ended it

  11. He was depressed I don't think he was allowed to talk to anyone from the outside much less phone calls so he was alone I think and he started thinking about his life and where he was at and it will cause depression in anyone. Idk Just sad for all.

  12. we do know no oxygen was in his head due to self lynching . probably some fleeting thoughts of can't believe life in prison or this no brainier

  13. i think deep down within him he thought he was the lick. Walking around with this twisted ego got him caught up. but naw, he believed he was untouchable. he's not the first won't be the last. lot of these pro athletes walk around like they hard. look where it got him. its ridiculous and sad at the same time.

  14. just cause someone smiles in your face doesn't mean you don't know what they fight inside their head!!!! I'm a person who suffers from depression!!! My name is Emma…I'm using my late mum's account…….but depression is misleading…I could smile in your face & and you wouldn't know my agony I suffer with day in & day out

  15. People arguing in the comments about his death and people that were killed. How much lower can people get on Social Media?

  16. Honestly this whole thing start to finish was crazy especially anyone who followed him from Florida when he punched out a bouncer his first few days at Florida and was flagged for smokin weed along with persey harvin which I'm not saying is a big deal but the way this escalated his Ego was just to big to allow him to change

  17. At the end of the day, he is still a human being with a life story.  Some people say how can someone say RIP to somebody like Aaron Hernandez?  I ask how can someone show such utter contempt and disrespect to someone who just lost his life.  He was such a good kid back in the day, just a sad day when he died…Some of us are still fans, he was one of the best receivers that the Patriots ever had… Aaron Hernandez … Rest in Peace … brother … I hate the crime but NOT the man … 🙁

  18. Just sad all the way around. You had it all. He was tall, handsome, a football player, rich, and famous. The American dream. How can anyone mess that all up?

  19. I feel he wanted to give the families of the victims some sense of closure as twisted as it sounds I think his time alone in a cell he realized the amount of hurt he caused and felt remorse and that his death was his ultimate apology. Let's be honest he was found NOT GUILTY AND YET SENTENCED HIMSELF TO DEATH. Sad in Everyway.

  20. Just doesn't make sense, gets not guilty, good chance he would have got out on appeal for the first case, then kills himself. Doesn't ad up

  21. can't imagine being on a $40m contract that young and having the urge to murder. the guy was living every man's dream

  22. I grew up in a gang-infested area and never got involved with gangs, so it's not an excuse. Aaron Hernandez thought he was bigger than the law plain & simple. Reality hit him.

  23. He was thinking: I'm done with all this. I'm killing myself. All them cops behind him were there for a reason. They knew he was losing it.

  24. Now that i have more understanding. I believe he cried at trial because he had known his life would be ending soon. And knew of a situation they can help his family financially….

1 Samuel 31:4 So Saul took his sword and fell on it.
1 chronicles 10:13So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against the LORD, because of the word of the LORD, which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of one who had a familiar spirit, to inquire thereby,

  25. we was not in prison to,see what really happened this also could be murder anyone can setup to make look like kill him self

  26. Lord please help those who struggle with demons. we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and kindest in higher places. what a overall sad situation

  27. he killed himself so his daughter can receive his 15 million dollars that was due to him i read an article that stated that crazy twist he did the right thing for his daughter

  28. You know something is wrong when the killer get more sympathy from people, then the victim.the media plays people like puppets.

  29. Not to make light of sad situation….But did that news guy lift his leg and "break wind" at the very beginning of the video??

  30. I think they killed Aaron Hernandez and staged it as a suicide cuz of he got off two murder. And they know with that momentum to appeal the last case would set him free… That's just my opinion!;;

  31. He did it for the money. There are prison calls recorded where he is telling someone how much money his daughter will receive based on his plans. There's already talk of 3.5 million owed to him because he's dead from his team and I am sure there's at least one insurance policy? A usual suicide clause is 2 years and he's been in 5, right?

  32. He killed two men and got away with it, he couldn't stop there. then he shot to kill his friend/ weed man, got away with it and couldn't stop there. Finally he shot and killed his best friend who probably hooked him up with his baby momma since they was dating two sisters. why is everyone felling sorry for someone who had 3 chances and blew it.

  33. We live in the 21st century. Show the video surveillance inside that building between 8 pm and 3 am and end the speculation once and for all. You're not going to see video you know why, because it's going to be accidentally lost. Mark my words. This entire situation has been created to appear as if it were a suicide. Very carefully laid out. From the carefully worded statement to the media, to the evidence in the room. But why not show the video to the media? After all, as Taxpayers, we are entitled to that video under the Freedom of Information Act. So where's the Video? You say he committed suicide ok, show us the video and put weight to your allegation otherwise, this wasn't suicide.

  34. if anyone believes this is a suicide… your an idiot. he was obviously murdered and set up as a suicide because someone was mad enough that he got off for double murder himself. maybe he deserved it but this was not a suicide in my mind.

  35. I think he was different in this case because here he was innocent and he knew it, and so he was confident and at peace.

  36. come on he prolly knows who the murderer was but you know hes from the streets and did not snitch, i believe hes innocent and was murdered rip aaron hernandez

  37. He realized that his attorneys for the Lloyd trial were incompetent and that they sent him to prison for life based on their closing argument. (The jury admitted as much) It finally hit him that he was truly fucked after being well repped by attorneys for the second trial. Dude gave up. He knew it was over. I get it though. Who would want to spend the rest of their life in prison?

What a short, wasted, twisted existence he had.

  38. You do not put a 25 year old boy in isolation even if he is accused of murder.
He was not a mafioso was not even a terrorist or a pedophile.
Who thinks he has received what he deserves.
Perhaps and indeed he has committed these crimes,
But torture and always torture like a murderer and always a murderer for this reason do not think to be better than that

  39. They should make a movie about Aaron's life, it's got all the elements that make for great drama—intrigue, love, lust, murder, success, failure, betrayal, death, but we know his estate won't allow it. Aaron was also on the down low getting it on with his childhood bud, Ryan McDonnell, which came to light during the court testimony. Sad end to a promising career, but the guy was overwhelmed by sociopathic tendencies and acted out on them.

  40. Yall act like he murdered an innocent man dude was a drug dealer and he was a snitch becos he told his family who killed him basically when ur involved in the streets thats what happens 💯

  41. This stupid thug destroyed his and his family's lives and the victims family's lives. What a murdereous thug

  42. Can’t believe so many people wanted him free as bad as he was! What about Odin? What about his family?
